External Assessment Examination / Supplementary Examination at Studienkolleg Hannover

If you are interested in sitting the External Assessment Examination or Supplementary Examination, please proceed as follows :

Step 1: Apply to the University of Göttingen
Apply via the University of Göttingen’s application portal for an unrestricted (open-admission) subject in a bachelor’s degree programme. Please note that this subject must correspond to the subject track (Schwerpunktkurs) in which you intend to sit the External Assessment Examination / Supplementary Examination. If you are unsure which subject track you need in order to be eligible for your intended degree programme, please consult the overview provided here

Step 2: Notify the International Student Office
After submitting your application, send an email with your application number and your request to participate in the External Assessment Examination / Supplementary Examination to: international.study@uni-goettingen.de

Application deadlines
Winter semester: 1 March - 30 April
Summer semester: 1 September - 31 October

Requirements for registration
You can only be registered if you:
- hold a valid university entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung), and
- provide evidence of the required language proficiency.

Further communication
If you meet these requirements, the University of Göttingen will register you with the Studienkolleg Hannover on your behalf. All further communication regarding the examination procedures will then be handled directly by Studienkolleg Hannover.
