Final Symposium 2026

Final Symposium

RTG 2300 research group

Enrichment of European beech forests with conifers

– Final Symposium of the RTG 2300 –

6th – 8th October 2026
at Alte Mensa, Wilhelmsplatz 3

As the funding period for the RTG2300 draws to a close, we have the exciting opportunity to present the impacts the last 9 years of research in German forests have had on our understanding of forest dynamics, species mixing, and introduction of non-native timber species. During our Final Symposium, we will summarize the work of three generations of PhD students, multiple postdocs, and countless hours spent in the field, lab, and at the computer. RTG graduates and current members will speak on the contributions of the research group, while invited speakers provide a big-picture context, culminating in a thorough understanding of our work within the greater scientific landscape.

Target audience are faculty members, researchers, and students.
