PhD candidates of GGG and GSGG in all stages of the dissertation process, other PhD candidates if free places are available
PhD candidates who 1) want to present their topics to a wider audience online, 2) are interested in adding social channels to their public relations work and expanding their network, and 3) want to become more visible as an expert and scientist

This workshop offers practical guidance and expert insights into science communication via social media, aiming to train researchers to share their work widely and impactfully. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and real-time feedback, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of social media and its potential to disseminate scientific knowledge.
- Understanding and applying the basics of social media science communication.
- Developing a strategic plan for social media presence to effectively position your research.
- Mastering the selection and creation of content for various platforms to achieve maximum impact.
- Professionally handling specific online challenges, from trolling to backlash.
- Using AI tools for image creation, writing, and automation.
- Exchange and discussion in small groups and in plenary sessions
- Feedback and personal application of what has been learned in exercises
- Question and answer sessions
- Expert feedback on your own learning progress
- Use of the social media strategy canvas for scientists

- You will receive a certificate for active participation.
- PhD candidates in Social Sciences who are doing their doctorate according to the doctoral degree regulations of 2024 can have the workshop credited for the module “P.SOWI.50: Wissenschaftskommunikation”(link to EXA).
